Mr. Strom’s practice focuses upon litigation, land use and zoning, and representing governmental entities.  His trial and appellate practice includes cases involving land use and zoning as well as a wide range of accident and contract cases running the gamut from automobile accidents, premises liability, products liability, governmental liability, fires and explosions, carbon monoxide poisoning, death cases, insurance coverage issues, uninsured and underinsured motorist claims, and contract disputes.  His governmental practice involves representing towns and other municipal boards and authorities either directly or at the request of their insurers.  He frequently speaks and writes for the Minnesota Association of Townships, and is a presenter and instructor for the Minnesota Defense Lawyers Association’s Trial Academy.  Representative clients include the Duluth Transit Authority, Federated Insurance, the Minnesota Association of Townships Insurance Trust, and towns throughout northeastern and east-central Minnesota.

Mr. Strom graduated magna cum laude from the University of Minnesota Duluth in 1981, and received his J.D. degree with honors from William Mitchell College of Law in 1985. He clerked in the United States District Court before joining the firm in 1987.

Mr. Strom is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Minnesota Defense Lawyers Association, and the Defense Research Institute. He is licensed to practice in the Minnesota and Wisconsin state courts and Minnesota federal courts, as well as the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals.
