Ms. Sandstad's practice addresses a diverse array of legal matters, primarily in the areas of business law, tax law and family law, with a particular focus on adoption and surrogacy contracts.

Ms. Sandstad received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Minnesota, Morris. She continued her education with a master's degree in education from the University of Minnesota and went on to graduate with distinction from the University of Minnesota Law School. Sandstad's achievements during law school include serving as lead outside article editor for the Journal of Law & Inequality and interning for the Honorable James M. Rosenbaum, then Chief United States District Judge for the District of Minnesota.

Following graduation, Sandstad served as an adjunct faculty member at William Mitchell College of Law and clerked for the Honorable Terri J. Stoneburner at the Minnesota Court of Appeals. 

Ms. Sandstad is currently a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association and Co-Chair of the Minnesota Women Lawyers Northeastern Chapter.  She serves on the board of the Chester Bowl Improvement Club and is Secretary of the Volunteer Attorney Program Board of Directors.
